Sutherland Hospital School presents at the H.E.L.P. Conference about their Community Class
Sutherland Hospital School was fortunate enough to present at the 2024 annual Health, Educators, Learners, Parents conference in Adelaide. The theme of the presentation was how do we move our students from disengaging with their school life to reconnecting with their learning. The program offered at the Community Class, established by Sutherland Hospital School, combines school attendance and wellbeing to create a safe haven for students.

ABC 7.30 Report featuring Sutherland Hospital School
In 2023, Sutherland Hospital School was fortunate enough to be part of the ABCs 7.30 report marking the centenary for hospital schools in New South Wales.
Over the decades, Hospital Schools have tackled everything from polio to a post-pandemic mental health crisis.

Secretary's Award for an Outstanding School Initiative
Sutherland Hospital School was awarded the Secretary's Award for an Outstanding School Initiative in 2022, for the creation and implementation of the Hospital Orientation Tour as an virtual incursion known as 'The Hospital e-Tour', due to the limitations COVID-19 presented.
The Hospital e-Tour is still a well-sought-after incursion for local primary schools and secondary support units in the area.
