We conduct weekly Hospital Orientation e-Tour incursions for students in Stage 1 in the surrounding primary schools and also for students in support units in the local high schools.
The e-Tour not only meets outcomes for Stage 1 History, PDHPE and Science but also introduces the students to the hospital environment in a safe and practical manner.
The incursion provides opportunities for students to become familiar with the diverse roles of hospital staff, medical terminology, technology and the hospital environment (virtually), making the process of hospitalisation less foreign.
Our incursion is interactive, with the students having the opportunity to dress up as a medical professional or patient, as well as learning how to use a stethoscope to listen to their heartbeat.
The cost for our Hospital Orientation e-Tour is $5 per child.
