Sutherland Hospital School uses formative assessment to meet the individual learning needs of our students. This ensures that students are engaged in new learning rather than practice in what they already know.
Our teachers self-reflect and look at the data around students assessments and parent/carer and student evaluations.
The students learning information is completed and lesson content is sent to their census school.
Sutherland Hospital School also provides exam conditions for National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) and the Higher School Certificate (HSC) so that students can choose to continue their exams whilst in hospital.
